WalletHub is celebrating Financial Literacy Month with some interesting surveys – one with good news for us. Here’s what the headline might look like:
Tucson bests Phoenix by 25 spots!
Yes, in a survey of nine key financial education metrics of the 150 largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs), Tucson ranked 51st while Phoenix ranked 76th. Ann Arbor, MI ranked #1.
Next, WalletHub compared the 50 states plus the District of Columbia based on responses to the WalletLiteracy Survey along with information about the respondents’ personal financial habits. Here’s a headline from that survey:
Arizona Ranks #1 for Most Residents with a Rainy-Day Fund!
Overall we ranked 29th (not bad but room for improvement) with only one bottom-of-the-bunch rating for “Most Unbanked Households”.
TCI Foundation’s mission is to provide no-cost education and financial advice to individuals just starting to save and invest. Our hope is that every person we reach shares their knowledge with a friend, family member or co-worker so that, overtime, Tucson continues to best Phoenix while Arizona moves up in the rankings.
