Position Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate financial education programming, community engagement, and creation and oversight of the Community Impact Program at 3rd Decade. In this new role, the position will oversee and cultivate community & business partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships that lead to opportunities to deliver our financial education workshops and community programs to partners in education, non-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses. This position will oversee curriculum development, structuring new programs and partnerships, and ensure the successful delivery of our community-based programming, which will include teaching workshops, special projects, and trainings with our partners.
Oversees the creation and execution of an overall plan for community and business outreach and engagement for 3rd Decade’s new fee-based community impact program. This program is designed to deliver our financial education throughout the community as a complement to 3rd Decade’s core programming.
Identifies and cultivates strategic partnerships with community stakeholders, businesses, and organizations to solicit and create opportunities for partnerships that lead to the delivery of our programming.
Ensures the delivery of our educational materials to businesses and organizations either through direct presentations of our curriculum or ensuring contractors are trained to deliver our workshops.
Develops community engagement strategies and activities that align with the organization’s mission and strategic plan in collaboration with the Executive Director
Develops and maintains strong relationships with various national and local community stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters while overseeing all Community Impact Program relationships.
Works with the Program Manager to oversee and coordinate all non-Core, 3rdDecade cohort programs.
Researches, implements, and evaluates new engagement-based program opportunities to increase 3rd Decade’s visibility.
Assists with identifying new and ongoing funding opportunities to support our community impact programs and collaborates on grant application, submission, and reporting.
Develops, implements, and monitors the Community Impact department budget and ensures expenditures remain within the approved budgeted amounts.
In collaboration with our Marketing Manager, creates and implements annual marketing plans and creates community-facing materials for community impact programming.
Designs and implements evaluation tools to gauge and ensure impact and creates mechanisms for ongoing evaluation of community impact programming that measures effectiveness and efficiency and recommends program enhancements.
Assures the implementation of 3rd Decade philosophy in a culturally sensitive manner while ensuring our programming reaches a diverse range of participants.

1-3 years of work experience in community and business outreach and engagement within a non-profit organization or related field required
Experience using CRM and Database systems, preferably experience using Salesforce.
Understanding the basic principles of financial literacy and delivery of workshops and programming.
Experience in developing and delivering programming to targeted audiences.
Public speaking and presentation experience
Thorough knowledge of outreach and engagement strategies and success working in partnership with business groups and non-profit organizations.
Experience writing and submitting proposals for partnerships and/or funding.
Prior experience in community organizing, campaign organizing, and/or other forms of constituent building experience (small- and/or large-scale)
Ability to stay current with emerging outreach and engagement best practices
Ability to think critically and have a vision for the organization regarding engagement and education.

The position will be WFH, but you must be able to travel for meetings and to facilitate in-person classes and workshops. The chosen candidate must reside in the Tucson or Phoenix Metro Areas.
