NOW HIRING: Grant Writer/Grant Writing Organization

Opportunity: We are seeking proposals from experienced grant writers or organizations with experience in Arizona and the Southwest to help prospect and research funding opportunities and draft proposals that help scale the impact of our programs nationally. 

About 3rd Decade: As a national organization based in Tucson, Arizona, 3rd Decade has been serving young people with financial education, mentorship, and support to build healthy financial futures. As the program is completely free to participants, 3rd Decade relies on philanthropic support to operate and scale our programs.

Scope: We are looking for a grant writer with relevant experience writing and submitting successful grant proposals and has proficiency with competitive corporate and foundation grants. The grant writer will research grant opportunities, develop, write, and submit grant proposals, review grant budgets, report data on the performance of program activities and work with the rest of the 3rd Decade team to maintain the grant database. We are also seeking the development of an annual grant calendar of opportunities.
As 3rd Decade seeks to scale its impact to more young people nationwide, the grant writer will work closely with the Executive Director and other key staff to convert programmatic needs and targeted geographic areas for expansion into compelling donor proposals. 

Qualifications: The selected candidate or firm must have extensive experience researching, writing, and submitting grant applications for nonprofit organizations.  Experience should include a mix of foundation, corporate, and government grants.   

Compensation: This position will be hired as an independent contractor (1099). Compensation will be based on an hourly rate or retainer based on experience.
