TUCSON, AZ; April 12, 2023 – 3rd Decade, a nonprofit organization paving the way for young adults across the United States to have equitable access to financial education and financial mentoring, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Coconut Software, a platform that provides appointment scheduling, queuing, and video meeting services geared towards financial institutions.
One of the most impactful parts of the 3rd Decade program is the personalized mentorship our participants receive from financial professionals around the country who volunteer their time as Financial Mentors. Our Financial Mentors conduct virtual mentoring meetings, often across time zones.
In the past, 3rd Decade faced a significant challenge in finding a platform that would allow participants and mentors to schedule meetings, communicate, and track progress. Many platforms were tried, but none allowed for the customization 3rd Decade’s program needed to ensure the success of all parties involved.
The partnership with Coconut Software, through their CocoCares program, solves the challenges 3rd Decade faced while providing customizable and innovative solutions, seamless connectivity, valuable personalization, and key metric tracking all within one intuitive platform.
“As Coconut Software was designed to specifically meet the needs of the banking industry, it is a platform that allows 3rd Decade participants to quickly and easily connect with their Financial Mentor,” says Megan Stiles, Director of Mentor and Volunteer Engagement at 3rd Decade. “The platform gives Financial Mentors more control over their time, increases the opportunity for engagement, and reduces administrative tasks.”
CocoCares supports the financial literacy initiatives of 3rd Decade by providing more than just access to Coconut Software. The program and software give 3rd Decade more time to focus on supporting the experience and journeys of volunteers and participants. The reporting and insights of the platform create the data points that help us better view the in-depth impact of financial mentoring on young adults.
CocoCares and Coconut Software ease the stress of scheduling and holding mentoring meetings by respecting the time gifted by volunteer Financial Mentors, helping 3rd Decade to change the financial futures of participants forever.
