3rd Decade Appoints Two New Members to Its Board of Directors

3rd Decade is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members, Nathalia Untiveros, Deputy Director of Gover Katie Hobbs’ Southern Arizona Office, and Nikolas Minard, Senior Client Service Associate at Root Financial.

As we continue to grow and expand our mission, having leaders on our team such as Nathalia and Nikolas who understand our mission and can relate to those we serve makes all the difference,” said Joe’Mar Hooper, CEO of 3rd Decade.  “They both have exhibited a passion for uplifting young adults through financial literacy, and I am confident that they will have a significant impact on our organization moving forward.”

Nathalia Untiveros is a first-generation bilingual Latina with a passion for people, places and policy. She has a dual masters in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) at the University of Arizona. Her background includes experience in grassroots organizing for statewide ballot initiatives, policy making, planning and community development. Her previous roles working in the public sector and in a private consulting firm have taught her the power of strategy and collaboration. In 2018, Nathalia was named one of Tucson’s emerging 40 under 40 leaders by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Her work with community and in the public sector ignited her love for the built environment and motivate her to always work towards an equitable, resilient and prosperous future for all. She is an avid bike user, pedestrian, and former bartender in Downtown Tucson. She is also an advocate for housing, public transit, thriving corridors and complete streets. She is inspired by bringing together community-oriented economic development and sustainable real estate development practices to create private and public spaces that improve the quality of life of people. She enjoys hiking, dining and exploring new places.

Nikolas Minard is currently a Senior Client Service Associate at Root Financial, where he has been instrumental in the creation, development, and growth of the client service team. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, concentrating in Financial Planning, and holds Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses. Having previously worked with Charles Schwab, Merrill Lynch, and other RIAs, he transitioned from a traditional advisory role to a client-focused role to ensure clients are treated as individuals rather than numbers and are educated about financial opportunities. Residing in Phoenix with his husband, he is an active community member enjoying local eateries, world travel, and fitness.
