Budgeting Insurance Retirement Plans (Sustainable Investing))

Let me tell you about myself. I am a 65yo debt free retiree. I have been married for 37 years, have 4 daughters and 2 grandsons. I spent my working years in IT in various industries – banking, insurance and medical but my hobby is investing.

I am currently president of our family foundation. One of our areas of focus is financial literacy which is what drew me to 3rd Decade. I’m looking forward to help young people learn how to successfully handle their finances.

What is a book or film that changed your life? There are several authors that have influenced me. I would suggest reading just about anything they have written; these are my favorites Jim Collins - Good to Great Thomas Sowell - Basic Economics Bob Burg and John David Mann - The Go-Giver Robert Heinlein - The Moon is a Harsh Mistress For fun: Auntie Mame - movie staring Rosalind Russell Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - RADIO SERIES!!!
What is a quote you like to live by? I have two quotes that I live by: Live! Live! Live! Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death - "Auntie Mame" In an infinite universe anything is possible - "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
Would you like to share a short quote about the impact you hope to make by volunteering for 3rd Decade? I would like to inspire my clients to look at money and finances in a new way. Understanding that your personal finances are unique to you and your goals. That there is no perfect way to manage your resources and that you must understand, be comfortable with, and take responsibility for whatever risks you are taking.
