I recently retired after 32 years in financial planning. My first curiosity about financial literacy led me to an H&R Block’s tax preparation course, and from there, nudges from friends guided me to further deepen and access skills around “money” that I had never been exposed to before. After obtaining a Certified Financial Planner® certification, I thrived on providing space for meaningful, empowering conversations with a diverse clientele, including young professionals starting out, LGBTQ singles and couples, women-led households, and many others from different walks of life. In the past decade, nothing has made me happier and prouder than being a resource to my 4 nieces who each reached out about their unique money concerns.
